Gelvenor Africa

The Directors of Gelvenor Africa are pleased to confirm the official opening of Gelvenor Africa as of Monday, 16 January 2023.

Formerly known as Gelvenor Consolidated Fabrics trading as Gelvenor Textiles, the company was established in 1965 in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu Natal. Following the sales of the assets and IP in 2021, the new trading company was renamed “Gelvenor Africa” to reflect both its proud heritage and focus. 

Over the years, the company built up a reputation internationally for producing technical textiles across various industries, including protective, outdoor, apparel, industrial and aeronautical. 

We look forward to building on the proud history of Gelvenor and servicing the textile industry with our range of fabrics and fit-for-purpose product solutions.
